Patrick Swayze, star of popular classic films such as Ghost, Dirty Dancing, and Road House, died Monday, September 15th 2009. He was 57 years old and spent the previous 20 months battling a particularly deadly form of pancreatic cancer.
The news of Swayze’s fight with cancer broke in March 2008, saddening the heart of many fans and movie buffs alike.
Swayze used his swinging dance moves and ripped, muscular physique to wow female viewers of all ages. On several occasions, he successfully portrayed a no-nonsense, tough guy, Chuck-Norri-style hero who punished the bad guys and saved beautiful women from danger.
